Swedish MP Advocates for Bitcoin as National Reserve Asset

A member of Sweden’s parliament has made waves by proposing the inclusion of Bitcoin in the country’s foreign exchange reserves. Rickard Nordin encourages Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson to consider adopting Bitcoin as a national reserve asset. Highlighting Sweden’s tradition of conservative fiscal management, Nordin points to the rapid evolution of digital assets. He notes that many international players view Bitcoin as a secure asset and a hedge against inflation. The proposal indicates a significant shift towards crypto acceptance within European financial frameworks.
