Hyperliquid has officially launched its general-purpose Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) layer, known as HyperEVM, on the mainnet. Unlike conventional platforms, the HyperEVM does not operate as a separate blockchain. Instead, it operates as a critical component of the Hyperliquid layer 1 blockchain. This structure facilitates direct transfers between the EVM and the layer 1, enhancing the overall functionality and interoperability of the network.
